Celebrating summer and the natural sweetness of fruit, these colourful ice lollies avoid the added sugars providing a delicious, nutritious snack.
After dinner (and during the day) Mia always asks for something sweet, and along with fruit and yoghurt, one of the treats we lately have in stock is homemade lollies. These beauties are guaranteed to keep the children quiet for 8 minutes straight, as well as getting some fruit into them. They’re super-simple to make, you can get the children involved putting them together, and Mia loves getting involved. Below are our favourite combos, but feel free to make up your own.
1. In a blender, blitz fresh or frozen chunks of mango with some finely grated orange zest , a nice squeeze of lime juice and some coconut water, then divide between ice-lolly moulds and freeze.
2. Pour unsweetened apple juice into a blender with an equal amount of water. Add berries (strawberries, cherries, blackberries) and a pinch of ground cinnamon, blitz until smooth, then divide between ice lolly moulds and freeze.
Don’t forget to pin this for later!
Enjoy!!!

Yum! I love that these are so much better for my daughter than the ones I find in the freezer aisle at the store. I’d eat these, too!
