I often receive messages this time of year asking about our routine during the summer. For our home this summer, we will have a mixture of structure and unstructured time in our day. Like many homes, we plan to settle into the relaxed days of summer, taking a break from every day routine. One thing that always remains is reading. We always read, regardless of location and activity and season. You will find books in our car, in our bags, and almost in every room of our home. Enjoy the glimpse.

Love all of these ideas. How old is your little one? I wonder if my 2 1/2 year old is too young. So far he just destroys all of the activities I set up for him, ha ha!

I don’t have little kids anymore but I do have a toddler grandson. He’s 30 months old and loves his number puzzles. He can identify and count up to 20. He also loves his magnetic alphabet board and he pretty much knows how to spell his name, and a few 3 letter words. We might start him on using play-doh soon so we can work on his fine motor skills and creative play.

That’s fantastic.
