When it comes to fruit purees I try to keep fresh – fresh and make them just before I offer to my baby. This time we made pinky one 😉 strawberry and banana puree (recipe below).
Strawberry and Banana Puree
- One ripe banana (ensure it has no green patches)
- 50g ripe strawberry (around 4)
- Wash and hull strawberries, and cut into quarters
- Peel and slice banana
- Together blend with food processor or hand blender until smooth
This amount of fruit make two portions. Strawberries are most delicious served straightaway, not after freezing.
Also, this puree you can use for baby breakfast to add into baby porridge and baby rice.
