My Baby Cheerios

Cheerios!! I know many of you will say no due to sugar content. I agree, not every breakfast but from time to time why not. They are simply iconic breakfast cereal (my favorite since I was child). Cheerios are a good finger food for babies and great for developing fine motor skills. This time I made them a little bit different way by blending them and topping with blackberry puree and yogurt. Super delicious, not sure who enjoyed more me or Mia 🙂  recipe below.

Baby Cheerios

  • 50g cheerios
  • 4-5 bluberries
  • 6-8 tbsp natural yogurt
  • one ripe banana

*makes 2 portions

  1. Blend Cheerios in food processor
  2. Wash blueberries
  3. Peel and slice banana.
  4. Blend blueberries and banana with food processor or hand blender until smooth.
  5. In a deep dish add ground cheerios, blended blueberries and banana and on top add some yogurt – see photo 😉
  6. Most delicious served straightaway not until freezing.

*this is just idea really, you can mixed all together or use any other fruits it is super delicous to have Cherrios this way and children will love it.

Happy Weaning

I’m going to try this-we occasionally let our son have Cherrios for a snack because its good “pinching” training for finger foods

      Totally. Thank you Jasmine.
