I’m not sure about you but I’ve found it’s easy to come across children’s books with wonderful male heroes, it made me to look for more books with female heroines — for my daughter’s sake (as well as for any other children, boys and girls). So, for all the little ones out there, here are 9 children’s books featuring leading ladies that we love and enjoy…
The Bridesmaid (Lettice) by Mandy Stanley
Maria Montessori by Isabel Sanchez Vegara (Author), Raquel Martín (Author) or any from Little People, BIG DREAMS
The Girl Who Never Made Mistakes by Mark Pett, Gary Rubinstein
Winnie and Wilbur: Winnie the Witch by Valerie Thomas, Korky Paul
Every-Day Dress-Up Hardcover by Selina Alko
Rosie Revere, Engineer by Andrea Beaty, David Roberts
What books would you add to this list? I’d love to hear…

I like the sound of Rosie Revere, engineer (I am biased though, being a female and a Mechanical Engineer hehe)

I agree 🙂
Lyndsey O'Halloran
I’ve noticed there are more and more books now with main female characters! I think I look for it more now too.
