Ten Minute Montessori: Sea Animals Object to Picture Matching Activity
Object to picture matching, is one of most frequent Montessori activity. It’s also one of those activities that can keep a wide range of children happy. Through these the child learns to identify the similar features and to name animals or plants in the picture. The variety of the activities is endless; wherever possible the children will start by pairing real fruits, vegetables, plants to photographs or printed images. Mia loves object to picture matching activities.
This time I’ve put together sea animals matching activity. Mia was attentive for the first three animals and wouldn’t settle right after.  I took that as a sign of tiredness so we need to stop and did it the next day.  And yes, she was interested and did full activity.

This is wonderful! I homeschooled with Montessori. Going to share this with some friends who do the same.

I love the Montessori idea of connecting pictures to real, tangible items. Plus…my boys would love creating stories with the animals. 🙂

What a simple but fun learning game! My kids are obsessed with the ocean so this theme is great!
